Hi Folks. In Dynamics GP ver 10 I have given a user access to the task CARD_0402* and yet they still cannot access the Item Kit maintenance window. Even if I give them full access to the whole Inventory series they still cannot access that window. Does anyone have an idea why? Is this perhaps a bug. Can anyone suggest how I could solve this issue? Many thankx
posted by Marmeduke, an anonymous guest user

This article comes to you courtesy of Jim Peliksza of Rockton Software and the MBS support team who spent many frustrating hours over many days getting to the bottom of this.

If you are installing GP 10.0 you may run into an installation problem. See edited Screenshot below.

Resolution
To resolve this issue, see this MS KB Article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918730

I have received a few requests from users who want Solomon App Info - see previous article here

http://www.dynextra.com/news.asp?news_id=10

Some things you should know:

I worked on it some time ago. After that initial burst of crativity, I have not contributed much time to the project since then.

I developed this in Access but you could move it to say VBTools for Solomon if you were so inclined.

This has two utilities - I'll refer to them as a PV Editor and a Screen Documenter

In both utilities, I got it to where the core functionality works. It still needs to be polished up - debugging, adding error handling and polishing up the UI so on. And it has to be documented...

- use it at your own "risk". No there are no viruses/malware - I just mean that It is an unfinished project. It has not been well debugged or well documented.

If you do make something that might be useful to others, do consider sharing it - I'll be happy to put it up here and give you credit.

OK, here is where you would find the link to file. But I can't seem to upload the file today. Send me message and I'll email the file to you.

Good luck in your efforts
